Day 1 | Kutaisi
We will meet you at Kutaisi airport. You will have dinner and spend the night in the historic town of Gelati, Agro-style guest house.
Day 2 | Martvili-Prometey
In the morning, breakfast will be waiting for you. After it, we will go to the indescribably beautiful Martvili canyon! You will take a walk along the historic Dadiani trail, which will delight your eyes with amazing views. Here you can go down the river canyon with a boat. Without a doubt, this is one of the most picturesque places in Sakartveli 🙂 You will stop for lunch at the national Sakartveli dishes place. Sakartvelo cuisine stands out for its variety of flavours, delicious salty khachapuri, khinkali, phali spreads and many other goodies! Get ready to immerse yourself in a real culinary journey. In the afternoon, we will visit Prometheus Cave, which is full of stalactites and stalagmites. Later, you will return to the historic town of Gelati, in the evening there will be a lesson on making khachiapuri and traditional scones, and you will have the most delicious rustic, traditional dinner in this region.
Day 3 | Okatse canyon – Gelati
In the morning you will have a traditional breakfast. Immediately after it, you will travel to Okatse Canyon. It is a narrow walkway-type bridge over the canyon. As you walk along this trail, you will see the most breathtaking views. Pack some comfortable shoes and get ready to get some exercise and get your daily steps in. After the trekking you will visit the Bagrationi residence and the Gelati monastery, where the representatives of the western branch of the royal millennium dynasty lived. When you visit the residence, you will learn the amazing history of this ancient family. You will also see the ancient, mysterious and legendary monastery - Motsameta, located in a deep mountain river canyon. For dinner, you will eat traditional Kartveli barbecue and you will have the opportunity to learn about the long-standing preparation and cooking methods and secrets of this dish. Overnight stay at Agrohouse guest house.
Day 4 | Borjomi
Breakfast, followed by a morning excursion to the town of Borjomi. You will walk in the world-famous national park with mineral water reserves. You will take a cable car ride above the city of Borjomi for stunning panoramic views, and then drive to the Borjomi Waterworks, where the water is extracted and bottled. Of course you will taste the real Borjomi water enriched with minerals 🙂 Next, you will continue your journey to Akaltcyhe to see the Old Stone Fortress of Rabat. Its name comes from the Arabic language and means "fortified place". The fortress of Rabat has been destroyed many times, often besieged, so traces of different cultures and religions can be found in it. In 2012 a large-scale reconstruction took place, after which the Rabat fortress Akhaltsikhe remained as a city within a city. Thus, it became not only a historical monument, but also a true cultural center of the city. Within the walls of the fortress there is a church, a mosque, a synagogue, a small park, a historical museum, various shops, wine cellars, restaurants, cafes, a hotel and even a marriage registration office. After the excursions, you will have dinner and spend the night in the town of Akaltcyhe.
Day 5 | Dashbashi canyon – Tbilisi
Breakfast and trip to the capital Tbilisi. On the way we will stop at Dashbashi Canyon. This day will become one of the most impressive not only during the entire trip, but will remain in your memory for a long time 😊. You will feel the unique nature of Georgia as close to you as never before! The 240-meter-long Diamond-shaped bridge is in complete harmony with its surroundings and promises visitors an unforgettable adventure thanks to its 360-degree viewing platform. The diamond-shaped structure in the middle of the bridge houses the Diamond 360⁰ restaurant, which will take a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest restaurant hanging on the bridge. At this moment, you will feel a real part of nature and the environment and enjoy the wonderful views of nature from above. After a breathtaking excursion, you will enjoy a dinner with traditional Georgian dances. After dinner, a night tour of Tbilisi awaits you. Overnight in a hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 6 | Tbilisi
Breakfast. Day time excursion in Tbilisi. You will visit the famous "Metekhi" church, "Vakhtang Gorgasali" monument to the founder of Tbilisi. You will visit the fortress of Narikala, climb to the observation point above the city, from where you will see the statue of the mother of Georgia. From the top you will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city. After that, you will walk through Rike Park, see the Peace Bridge and the clock tower of the famous theater, and walk through Shardeni Street, which has many narrow streets with cozy cafes, bars, and souvenir shops. Next, we will visit the district of sulfur baths, the only mosque in Tbilisi, the "Lock Bridge" and the famous Narikala waterfall. After the tour, you will have free time for rest or further visits.
Day 7 | Khaketi
On day 7 you will travel to the vineyards. After breakfast, we will travel to the Kakheti region (vineyards), visit a famous vinery. A feast table with tasting of traditional local drinks awaits you. You will see Kakheti, Sighnaghi, Bodbe monasteries. We will travel to Bodbe Monastery, which is the most beautiful and important Orthodox complex with a panoramic view of the Alazani Valley. This is a great place for spectacular photos. We continue towards Sighnaghi, which means city of love. It is a wonderful location with cobbled streets and cozy houses decorated with bright red tiles. The architecture of the town resembles the style of Southern Italy. One of the main attractions of the city is the Sighnaghi fortress, located on a high hill. It is one of the biggest and most famous forts in Sakrtvelo. For the night we will settle in a cozy guest house in the vineyards, in the evening we will cook Kartvelian barbecue and taste a local drink.
Day 8 | Khaketi
Breakfast, participation in the traditional Rtveli grape harvest festival. Autumn is the time when almost all families in the Kakheti region, with the help of relatives, neighbors and friends, gather grapes in the fields and prepare the most famous traditional drink. This process is combined with traditional songs and typical Georgian feasts. During the Rtveli grape harvest, there are many outdoor music, dance and food events. The traditional Rtveli festival has been held since ancient times. This excursion will give you an incredible opportunity to become a part of the Rtveli process - pressing grapes with your feet, getting to know the traditions of making a traditional drink! Be sure - you will taste different types of traditional Kartveli drink! The program includes a tasting of a local drink and a traditional lunch made with fresh local products. Overnight in a guest house located in the vineyards.
Day 9 | Tbilisi
Breakfast Return to Tbilisi. Free time in Tbilisi. Overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 10 | Mtshketa
After breakfast, you will go on a journey to the war road - which stands out for its landscape, flora and fauna. We will visit the old capital Mtshketa and the Jvari monastery. The monastery is located on a high hill, with beautiful panoramic views of the city of Mtskheta with two small mountain rivers that are of different colors, even after merging. We will stop for lunch at the Pasanauri restaurant. We will visit the "Russian-Georgian" nations friendship monument in Gudauri, which is located on the impressive panoramic Mount Caucasus. We will settle in a guest house or hotel in the town of Kazbegi for the dinner. You will spend this evening in the mountains.
Day 11 | Kazbegi-Tbilisi
Breakfast. We will travel to Mount Kazbegi to see the famous Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, located at an altitude of 2,170 m, from where you can enjoy amazing views of Kazbegi (another of the most beautiful photo spots in Georgia). Kazbegi is the gateway to the mountain world and is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Journey to Tbilisi. Return to Tbilisi. Overnight at a hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 12 | Kutaisi - Flight
Breakfast Trip to Kutaisi. Our gift: Imeretish farewell dinner in a restaurant with Georgian dishes and traditional drinks.
transfer to Kutaisi airport - flight home.
