Tour itinerary

Day 1 | Prometheus Cave - #Martvili canyon - #Batumi

When you arrive at #Kutaisi Airport, you will be greeted by a guide and immediately you will travel to the Prometheus Cave, which is 1.5 km long. It offers breathtaking views of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as waterfalls and underground lakes and rivers. Continue towards Martvili Canyon and stop south along the way. The views from Martvili Canyon will be no less surprising than the Prometheus Cave. From here you can see waterfalls of various sizes, mountain rivers and gorges, as well as natural limestone bridges. In Martvili Canyon, in favorable weather conditions, you can go boating in the canyon (at an additional cost) with spectacular views of nature. We will travel by the sea to the resort of Batumi. Accommodation in a hotel / guest house.

Day 2 | Excursions in Batumi

Day 3 | Excursion to the waterfall and rest by the sea.

After a delicious breakfast, you will travel to the town of Gonio, where you will see the defensive fortress of this town.

You will continue to #Makhuntseti Waterfall, one of the most popular in all Georgia, and the nearby Tamara Bridge. Tamara was the Queen of Georgia.

Free time. Overnight in a hotel / guest house.

Day 4 | Trip to Tbilisi

Breakfast. Free time by the sea and a trip to Tbilisi, stopping for lunch on the way.

Day 5 | Excursion to Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel. We will start our tour of Tbilisi early in the morning. We will visit the famous Metekhi Church, a monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of Tbilisi. We will visit the Narikala Fortress, rise above the city to see the statue of the Georgian mother, enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the city, then walk through the Rike Park to see the Peace Bridge, the right place for the best photos. We will see the clock of the famous theater - the tower will be walked across Shardeni Street - narrow streets with cozy cafes, bars, souvenir shops. We continue to see the sulfur Baths district, the only mosque in Tbilisi, the Shutter Bridge and the famous Narikala Waterfall. We will stop for lunch, in the afternoon we will visit Sameba - the Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world.

Later we will get to #Mtatsminda with the funicular, we will see a TV tower visible from all over the city, there will be some great restaurants at the top. Mtatsminda Park also has a large amusement park for children and adults, a TV tower and spectacular views of Tbilisi from above. We will take the funicular to the Freedom Square, visit Vilnius Square and Rustaveli Street, where the Galeria Tbilisi shopping center is located. We will have dinner with the Georgian dishes and dance at the restaurant (for an additional fee of 20 euros). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 | Journey to the mountains - Jvari-Jinvali-Ananuri-Gudauri-Kazbegi

After breakfast we embark on a trip to the mountains. The first stop towards #Mtskheta is the #Jvari Monastery, located on a high hill, with beautiful panoramic views of the city of Mtskheta with two small mountain rivers of different colors, even after the confluence.

We will stop at the #Ananuri complex, the former residence of the Argveti princes. Complex with the 16th-17th c. churches and towers are beautifully visible from the Jinvali Reservoir. We will visit the monument of Russian-Georgian folk friendship in Gudauri, which is located on an impressive panoramic mountain in the Caucasus.

We will stop for lunch with Georgian dishes (for an additional fee of 10 euros).

We will continue our journey to #Kazbegi Mountain, arriving in Kazbegi, change our car to 4X4 to reach #Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, located at an altitude of 2170 m, and admire the stunning views of Kazbegi, which is one of the most beautiful places to take pictures. Kazbegi is a gateway to the mountain world and is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Returning back to Tbilisi. Overnight at hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 7 | A trip to the vineyards. #Kakheti vineyards, #Sighnagi (city of love), #Bodbe monastery, winery museum, tasting.

Breakfast at the hotel. We will travel to the Kakheti wine region - we will stop at a winery (a state-of-the-art wine and brandy factory) where we will see the latest wine production technology.

We will travel to Bodbe Monastery, which is the most beautiful and important Orthodox complex with a panoramic view of the Alazani Valley. After visiting the Bodbe, we will travel towards Signagi (the city of love). It is a wonderful civilized tourist center with cobbled streets and cozy houses with bright red tiles. The architecture of the city is in the style of southern Italy. One of the city’s main attractions is the Signagi Fortress, located on a high hill. It is one of the largest and most famous forts in Georgia. It has about 28 crayfish. Next, we will go to the historic village of #Tsinandali where we will visit a very famous winery. The company owns a small #Vazioni museum with a collection of excellent wine exhibits, an ethnography department and a grape harvest tasting area.

The museum’s collection already includes 294 grape varieties collected by workers in various parts of Georgia, as well as 92 varieties of foreign vines. Of all these different Georgian vines, only 15 are used for commercial purposes today.

The museum also aims to find rare species of vineyards with unique characteristics that could enrich Georgian wine. The exhibition hall displays antique wine-making utensils found in Georgia, such as grape presses, Qvevri clay (traditional clay pots) and various drinking vessels used in ancient Georgia. The Vazioni Museum is regularly visited by tourists from all over the world. The wine tasting area is very popular with foreign visitors who can taste and buy products in a unique setting.

You can also order lunch at the winery. Continue back to Tbilisi. Overnight at hotel in Tbilisi.
