Located in the Caucasus mountain range in Georgia, Gudauri ski resort offers amazing backcountry skiing terrain. Conveniently located just 2 hours away from the Tbilisi International Airport, the resort has been growing in popularity among European skiers. Both the Gudauri backcountry and the nearby Mount Kazbek massif have great ski touring conditions, including great snow that lasts from December to April and nice weather.

Gudauri ski resort has 7 chair lifts and a gondola that takes you high up into the mountains. From there you can use skins to access even more remote locations. Some great spots to tour to include Mt. Sadzele at 3300 meters, Mt. Chrdilebi and 2800 meters and Mt. Kudebi 3006 meters. Enjoy the remote wilderness and untracked snow. Plus, while you’re on your ski trip, definitely take the opportunity to get to know some of this fascinating country.

Gudauri – young and rapid developing winter sports resort located at Kazbegi region of Georgia, 120 km from Tbilisi, at the height of 2,196 m (about 7,200 feet) near the Cross Pass. Skiing season lasts from December to April, comfort skiing on all routes. In May skiing is possible on the five (highest) lift or even on the second lift in snow years.
